Call your doc: I would make those kind of changes on my own especially for wt gain. Call your doctors office and see if he give you some advice.

Not a good idea: It is not a good idea to switch the meds by yourself and we can not advice you to do it without knowing more details as to if you took citlaphram in the past and why it was switched to mirzatapine.You have to discuss it with your psychiatrist if you can switch or not.And you also need prescription for citlaphram(celexa).

It depends: Mirtazapine has a common side effect of weight gain. If your depression isn't severe, citalopram may be enough but you should call your psychiatrist and discuss this. Your depression could worsen with only citalopram. There are other add-on medications available.
