HypO-thyroidism: Depending on what test was used and their normal limits, that would be suggestive of hypothyroidism. This means you are not producing enough thyroid hormone and your body is trying to send a signal (TSH) that it needs more.

Hypothyroidism: Imagine it this way. Tsh is a measure of how much your body is 'calling out' for thyroid hormone. If low, your body is saying it has more than enough circulating thyroid hormone (though there are some exceptions to this) a high TSH can be thought of as your body asking for more thyroid. The higher the tsh, the more your body may be in need of thyroid hormone. (there are exceptions).
