Food allergies/LPR : Tightening of the throat after meals can occur from food allergy. The swelling may occur around the larynx, which would not be visible. If this is from food allergy it is an immediate hypersensitivity reaction. Blood tests can help detect this. Another condition that causes that sensation of swelling in the throat can be from reflux into your throat (lpr). You need a medical evaluation.
