Is it safe for lupus patients to receive allergy shots? (immunotherapy)

Yes, if u need them: Having lupus is not a contraindication for you to get allergy shots, if you need them. If you are on certain medications such as prednisone/high dose immunosupressives etc..The shots may not work well, but otherwise you can get them. I am sure your allergist will inform you of the benefits/risks of the injections. Consult your doc... Good luck to you...
