Yes and no!: There is no cure for hsv1 herpes simplex but there excellent antiviral pills that can be taken episodically for breakouts or prophylacticaly to prevent them in the first place. The natural course of the disease is for the breakouts to get less frequent and less severe, so there is hope!

You will be fine: Hsv infections are very common in sexually active adults. Millions of such folks live fairly normal lives as this is a low grade infection which is frequently asymptomatic. In some people there is intermittent flare up which can cause some local discomfort or minor ulcer formation. You should simply wait and see if it cause you any trouble at all...Your doctor can give you antibiotics, if needed.

Herpes: First what test was done to tell you that you have herpes one? Was this test ever done before you became sexually active?

HSV1: Hsv, type 1, if that's what you are concerned about is the virus that most frequently causes "cold sores", fluid filled blister like lesions on the lips. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for that. It generally doesn't cause major symptoms like what you described (being sick all the time or not feeling well). There should be another reason for that.
