Need to stop drinkin: It is not safe to drink while on medication. 750 ml wine daily is significant. You should really cut it down on that and stop it. You are the only one who can make it happen- do it today.

No Alcohol: No, you may not drink alcohol on zoloft (sertraline). It will stop the zoloft (sertraline) from working. You could experience major lows lasting up to 72 hours including suicidal thinking if you drink while on the ssri class of medications which includes zoloft (sertraline). So i think you're going to have to choose between alcohol and anxiety free life.

Stop the wine: Antidepressants and alcohol don't necessarily have danderous interactions, but the amount you're drinking could be contributing to the depression by itself. Remember to work on a plan with your doctor on when to get off of the drug. Antidepressants can help (they're barely better than placebo treatment) but they aren't a long-term solution. You don't have a zoloft (sertraline) deficiency in your brain.

Thanks for asking!: Alcohol in itself is a depressant. If used regularly, it will lower the efficacy of zoloft (sertraline) & can have additive effect on stomach.
