Yes there is always : A risk for any one , long fights. You are at higher risk group , wear elastic stockings , drink fluids , don't just sit , keep stretching walk a little when ever possible. Other issue loose weight , eat less go to gym speak to your doctor.

Flying: The risk of DVT applies to all who fly. The additional issues that are present do pose increased risk. Make sure you wear compression stockings, walk a lot, keep hydrated, do the exercises that they advise while in your seat. The si fracture may be an issue if painful.
