If the tendon : Is not rested or immobilized in some capacity why would it heal? I would help take tension off the overworked or injured tendon.

Can't guess : Are you doing anything else besides anti- inflammatories? Ice immobilization? Soft tissue injuries to the feet and legs can be slow to heal because they rarely get rested prpoerly.

R.I.C.E.: Anti-inflammatory meds are helpful, you need to see your physician for additional treatment reccs which will include resting protocol, ice therapy, compressions therapy and possibly a cast.....Immobilization is paramount and may require a period of time on crutches to reduce weight and stress in the injured part.
