A member asked:

What is the difference between drug-induced lupus & systemic lupus?

4 doctors weighed in across 4 answers

See answer: Dil is caused by a drug and usually resolves without treatment once the drug is stopped. Systemic lupus erythematosus is not caused by a drug, does not typically resolve on its own and usually does require treatment. Dil is not likely to cause kidney damage while systemic lupus erythematosus usually does.
