Labs: There are many different causes, they range broadly from relatively easy to fix to requiring serious attention (coagulation cascade disorders, low platelet counts, vascular fragility to only mention a few). To answer properly and pinpoint the cause, you have to have blood work done. Most doctors will be able and willing to order this for you and advice on how to proceed.

Bruising: Easily is common. Males over 45 should at least be taking a baby Aspirin a day. You don't mention it. That will make it worse but has proven necessary for heart prevention health . If really excessive there are blood tests your dr can do. Do you bleed ou ooze or just bruise? Bleeding is a different story and needs docs care.
