Diet and exercise: A healthy well balanced diet and regular exercise. Limit alcohol and caffeine. Drink a lot of water. Get 7-8 hours of sleep at night if you can, also take a daily multivitamin the morning. Whole grains and cereals and fresh fruits and vegetables. Limit saturated fats and avoid trans fats. Varied diet, fluids: It is important to eat a good variety of foods including all of the food categories - proteins, carbohydrates and fats. You need extra calcium to avoid your body stealing it from your bones for the milk. Most important, you need extra fluids - about 100 ounces daily. Calorie intake should be about a thousand calories more than your usual intake.
