Not gas in belly: While the gas that is trapped during laparoscopy can cause rib cage and shoulder pain, it really should not be an issue 4 weeks out. You also imply that this same pain was there before the surgery. It sounds like you should contact your doctor and ask about a referral to physical therapy or a back specialist.

Uterus not cause: I am assuming that you had pain before surgery also. Obviously uterus was not the cause of your pain. Pain management specialist will be better able to diagnose and treat.
