Close follow-up: Sever pain should be evaluated with same day appointment or er visit to rule out ovarian torsion or ectopic pregnancy--both of which are dangerous. After this has been ruled out, nsaids (advil, Ibuprofen or Naproxen with tylenol) should help in most cases.
