Interesting!: The taste is probably what is called alkaline reflux. Usually what comes out of our stomachs is acid, but bile salts from the gall bladder and alkaline juices from the pancreas may also take the elevator up to your throat in very small amounts creating the bitter taste. The rest of your story is not very relevant to this problem as far as i can tell. Good luck!

Good luck : Once you get happy and pregnant you will forget about peripheral issues. Keep trying and most succeed. But suggest to make sure that things like infection are ruled out, so see your doctor.
