Extraction: Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved even with root canal therapy and a dental crown. Only your dentist can determine if there is enough health tooth structure to support a restoration. Please visit with him or her as soon as possible.

Dental issues: I don't understand how 80% of root canal can be broken off. You may be referring to the tooth being 80% broken. In this case, a dentist would be your best consultant. He will need to take xrays and suggest either extraction or root canal treatment.

Discuss options: If your dentist told you that 80% was broken\decayed, the he\she has already seen you and along with the x-ray can discuss your options. If you are making that estimate and without an x-ray, it may well be worse than you think. If the tooth is salvageable, you would need rct, post and crown. Otherwise the best option would most likely be to have the tooth removed and replaced with implant\crown.

Please add detail: I do not understand the question you are asking- what you have to do if 80 percent. Are you asking about if your tooth is 80 percent gone? Or that the root canal was filled about 80%? Or that your tooth is broken 80%? If you can expound on the question I will be happy to answer you. If you have a root canal that is 80% filled with no symptoms, it can be observed, but retreatment is safer.
