Chronic disease: Acne eventually goes away as you get older but there is no telling when. Until then, manage it. If topical benzoyl peroxide has not cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician. In a woman, the oral contraceptive pill may clear you fully if it is right for you. Or a topical antibiotic or retinoic acid derivative may be plenty.
