Perhaps: If aortic valve replacement is required, the two options are traditional open chest surgery, on cardiopulmonary bypass, risk of infection, etc. The other (if you are a candidate) is the transcatheter valve approach, no open chest, less risk of infection. Both may require transfusions. These issues need to be discussed throughly with your cardiac team.
