I read on prilosec [rx] that if you have pains do not take the over-the-counter product brand of it. why does it say that?

Not sure: I've not read any of that. I think they may be referring to the fact that if you still have pain on the rx one, don't just take otc as it is the same thing. Otherwise, they are identical pills.
