Unknown mechanism: The exact way Isotretinoin works is still not entirely understood. It does significantly reduce the size of oil glands in the skin which is but one of the effects that improves a patient's acne. Less sebum means less obstruction of skin pores and a reduction in acne lesions. There is no evidence to suggest this med directly reduces one's Dht levels. A big topic for such a small space!
