Less than expected: Menstrual cycle is the time period between the beginning of one menses and the begining of the next menses. For example, if your last menses started on march 1st and the next one started on march 29, your menstrual cycle was 28 days. If that next one started on the 15th instead of 29th, your cycle would have been 14days and will be considered a shortened cycle.
