Normal: Brown discharge is just old blood, blood that has dried inside your uterus, cervix or vagina. Gooey discharge is typically coming from your cervix. There are glands in the cervix which make a gooey discharge, every woman has these glands and every woman will have this discharge at some point in her life. Discharge is affected by hormones as well, so the time of the month can affect type of disch.
