Newborn with pneumothorax does it resolve on its own?

Depends: Some small pneumos will see resolution within a day or so and are generally treated with extra oxygen to promote resolution. If it is larger and triggers any compression of lung tissue or causes other symptoms, evacuation will bee needed initially followed by a chest tube.
