Depends on leak: Most of the time leak due to ruptured bullae (bleb) get sealed in 48 hrs, and some times takes longer.

Depends: Depending size, the leak can potentially seal in a few days like a scab formation. Full resolution of "small" pneumothorax, without intervention, generally takes up to 10 days. Lung "healing" takes weeks to months. The recovery from surgery is variable depending on techniques and patient specifics. If someone smokes (tobacco or marijuana), the lung continues to be damaged.
