It happens: Nipples have erectile tissue and become hard with temperature changes, arousal and tactile stimulation such as clothing. Do not be concerned. You might consider placing a bandage over them if it becomes uncomfortable.

Firm nipples: Are both firm all the time or just one it may be normal for you but if its only one nipple it should be evaluated by your doctor.
