Depends: Rules on insurance differ between states as well as insurance carriers. Workman's comp will often cover pt if the injury was on the job, but this depends on your plan.

Need to make claim: Physical therapy may or may not be part of treatment after an injury. To have it covered by workmens comp, first you would need to make a claim of a work related injury thru your employer and have that claim be accepted as a work related injury. Then, work with the physician you are seeing for the injury to determine the best course of treatment. Physical therapy might be needed.
