Active baby: Cord wraps are common & thought to arise commonly around 12 -15 weeks when there is more fluid to baby volume & the baby can turn & wrap themselves. There is no evidence that anyone is aware that this has happened. I've seen as many as 5 neck wraps and 3 true knots in the cord in babies that delivered ok & grew up to be normal. It can be a problem durin labor and some will lead to a c-section.
