A member asked:

How long does hiv virus live once on counter if blood spill?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV: life outside: Hiv needs a host or culture in a range of the average body temperature. Outside a body, the virus is fragile and dies within minutes if it is allowed to dry up. Hiv can sometimes stay alive for days inside needles of used syringes because there is enough blood to keep it from drying out.
