Neonatal Graves: One to 5 percent of neonates born to women with graves' disease have hyperthyroidism due to transplacental transfer of TSH receptor-stimulating antibodies. The incidence is higher in women with high titers of these antibodies. If you have graves disease your obstetrician needs to follow you and the baby carefully for the best outcome.
