Small: The risk is quite small, you are young and will need to have a number of phlebotomies to remove the excess iron. Keep up with that and that is the best you can do.

Are you compliant?: If you are getting phlebotomy and keeping your ferritin where it should be, your risk is low. If not, and you're iron-overloaded, you are setting yourself up for cancer. I can't give you the percentage odds and neither can anyone else even if they are very familiar with you. But they're high enough to want to avoid.
