What does soft tissue densities in mastoid air cells, middle ear cavity, and sphenoid sinus mean?

Nasal Sinus X-rays : The densities are either an active infection in the sinuses or most likely residual chronic inflammation from previous infections. The findings do not sound serious unless severe acute pain and fever is present. The best option is to review the radiographic evaluation with the ordering physician or an ENT specialist.
