Formication: Formication is the term for the "bugs crawling" sensation in withdrawal. This is distinct from delusions of parasitosis, which has the fixed conviction of being infested with bugs or other organisms. People with formication readily accept proof that they don't have an infestation. Delusions of parasitosis is much more chronic and is often resistant to treatment.
