Not Uncommon: Sedation after anesthesia may persist, depending on duration, body condition, surgery type, type and amount of drugs used. Even though fast acting anesthetics are commonly used, these drugs are "stored" in the body quickly (allowing for quick wake-up) but then slowly released over time to create an ebb and flow (redistribution) of sedative effect. Give it some time....It's unlikely to persist.

Side effects: You may be tired for various reasons. Pain relievers are a common culprit. Usually all anesthetic drugs that you would have received should be out of your system now. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about the meds you are taking.
