A member asked:

Are probiotics good for small intestine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Probiotics help repopulate your intestines with the normal bacterial flora that helps us digest our food. That does not mean that more are better or that supplements are better than eating a well balanced diet. They are particularly helpful after an illness, a course of antibiotics, or exposure to harmful bacteria that disrupt the normal balance.
