How long should baseball player not throw with elbow bursitis?

No set restrictions: Generally an olecranon bursitis is easily treated. It should not interfere with the throwing motion as long as the bursitis is not due to infection. Therefore, if the player can throw without pain then he can do so.

Elbow Bursitis: Not sure where the bursitis would be unless it is the olecranon bursa on back of elbow. If it is not infected and just inflamed it should take about 7-10 days to calm down with either topical or oral nsaids. Sports specific activity such as throwing can be started progressively as the symptoms allow.
