No : The hair is breaking off because of defective protein. It is not true hair "loss" and will grow out once your thyroid level is normalized, but will take months.

Hair loss: Biotin is not deficient in hyperthyroid states correction of thyroid status will restore hair loss after 12 to 14 weeks once normal thyroid levels.
