Could be normal: If you see this in both eyes, this is likely a normal variant, the way your eye pigmentation is patterned. If only in one eye, have an eye examination to get a proper diagnosis.

Melanin pigment: Many people of african american heritage have excess melanin pigment just next to the cornea which can appear as a brown ring around the cornea. Not a cause for alarm, but to be safe, check with an eye md.
