I have had pins and needles in my left arm for 3 week but only while typing. what is that?

Stop typing!: Sorry, the temptation to invoke an old henny youngman joke was just too strong. What's happening is that one of the sensory nerves in your left arm is getting irritated or inflamed when you type. Try moving your left arm until you find a position that doesn't irritate the nerve. If you can't, you'll need to see a neurologist to make sure you don't have a pinched nerve or something similar.
