Gentle: Continue proper home care, brushing and flossing carefully. Salt rinses can also help. Stay away from harsh mouth rinses for at least a week. If it is not severe, it will typically heal on its own.

Warm salt water: Rinses will help. Will be tender for a couple of days but should then resolve. If it persists please consult with a dentist. Hope this helps.
