Beer can : ...Be a causal factor in nose bleeds given the many potential cardiovascular effects of beer. Regular alcohol consumption may reduce platelet function; beer acts as a diuretic to dry out the nose; & hemodynamic changes such as vasodilatation (increased blood flow to the nose) and changes in blood pressure occur with alcohol as well. All of these factors can contribute to nosebleeds. See an ent.
