Not usually...: Hemoptysis, coughing blood, is a serious symptom that always requires evaluation. The most common etiology is bronchitis but it can also indicate the presence of malignancy. Uncomplicated pulmonary fibrosis does not usually result in hemoptysis. Get evaluated by your doctor.
