Always assume : Cardiac as it is what could be most serious. Ekg is recommended. If not cardiac, you could have a number of issues from a blood clot to a nerve injury. If you do not notice any swelling, lumps, redness, more likely nerve injury or irritation. This could be something as simple as sleeping on your arm wrong causing irritation to a portion of your brachial plexus. Need physical exam to be sure.
