Inflamed lungs: Hi AmirM, pneumonitis is inflammation of the lungs. Shortness of breath, chest pain or tightness, weakness, and decreased exercise tolerance are some symptoms. It can be caused by infection, noxious substances(even meds) or fumes and aspirating food and stomach contents (reflux disease). Removing the offender is the primary goal. Meds for reflux, inhalers, and anti-inflammatories are helpful.
