Could be hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids are blood vessels, usually veins, in the anorectal area. They can get swollen kind of like varicose veins on ones legs. They can also be responsible for bright red blood with a bowel movement. A fissure can have some blood on the toilet tissue but is associated with more pain.
