Safe to stop: I usually discontinue Aspirin at 36 weeks.Aspirin increases the bleeding risk and may cause problems if you want an epidural or need a c-section. Depending on the underlying clotting abnormality, stopping should not be a problem at this point in the pregnancy.If you had a serious clotting abnormality your OB would have had you on a stronger blood thinner (heparin/lovenox).
