I accidentally stapled my finger at work. i took it out and washed my hands and put a band aid on, but its still sore a few days later. what to do?

Watch for infection: Most likely your wound will be sore for several days to weeks from the injury. As long as things are improving over time, i would recommend that you continue to keep it clean and dry. Keep it covered with a band-aid after application of some antibacterial ointment. If it starts to get more red, painful and drains pus, then follow with your doctor.
