I have irregular periods. my doctor has prescribed provera for days 15-21 of my cycle (she also gave me dostinex which i take twice weekly). what does provera do? will i still ovulate this cycle whilst taking it?

Progesterone and: Provera is progesterone which counteracts the growth effect of estrogen. Dostinex, helps reduce prolactin levels, so, Iassume you have elevated prolactin. You should still ovulate on provera, so testing with an ovulation kit can help identify when that happens.
