Another medication: Women with irregular periods often take ocp because it manages menses, corrects hormone issues and provides contraception. When you want to get pregnant then you need a different medication: drugs that cause ovulation. If you ovulate then the cycles will also become regular but now you can conceive. See your doctor about this issue.

Irregular Cycles: Wow. Did your physician know this? Were you honest about this when you discussed this option in the office? You cannot get pregnant on birth control pills. These pills are very commonly used to regulate cycles and provide a more stable situation as you go about your daily life. There are medications to stimulate ovulation and increase pregnancy possibility.
