Very high: This level of hypertension represents a high risk for stroke and heart attack. It merits an immediate exam and treatment. Ones BP should be kept in the range of approximately 110 to 130 for the upper number (systolic) and 80 or below for the lower number (diastole). In addition, one should monitor ones BP sitting and standing in the am to determine the adequacy of control.

Possibly: BP pressure should increase with exertion or stress bit if this is a resting reading you likely do have hypertension.
