AF: I see you're taking amiodarone - are you still in af? If so, you might feel much better in normal rhythm. People your age usually don't feel well while in af. Lopressor (metoprolol tartrate) is not necessary with amio and can contribute to dizziness and memory problems - consider having it stopped. Good luck!

Amiodorone: The package insert on amiodorone states that it can cause all of your symptoms. Apixaban is to my knowledge not available here. I had to read the package insert from germany which clearly states that it can cause light headedness from lowering blood pressure. 30 years ago i was involved in some of the initial studies on amiodarone. We had to draw frequent thyroid function tests. I recommend that you go back to your doctor and have that checked and never change any medications in the context of atrial fibrillation without having a discussion with your physician about risks benefits side effects and alternative treatments.
