Need to see MD: If you have atrial fibrillation (af), you need better heart rate control and anticoagulation to prevent stroke. The risk of stroke is 5% per year. You need to see a md as soon as possible. There are medications that can control the af. Talk with your md about the financial issues. Most will work with you. Having a stroke would cost much more.
